Stress Management / Words can build or destroy

"Stress Management"

During a "Stress Management" course, the instructor entered carrying a glass in his hand! The trainees immediately thought he would talk about the half-empty and half-full glass, but instead, he abruptly asked about the weight of the glass! Their estimates varied from 100 to 200 grams.

He responded: "The weight doesn't matter. What's important is how long you hold the glass! If you hold it for a minute, there won't be a problem. If you hold it for an hour, your arm will hurt. If you hold it for an entire day, you will feel numbness and paralysis. In all cases, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer you hold it, the heavier it feels!"

He then added: "Worries and concerns in life are exactly like this glass. If you think about them briefly, nothing will happen! If you dwell on them for a long time, they start to hurt you. If you think about them all day long, they will paralyze you so much that you won’t be able to do anything."

If you want to live comfortably, don't think too much about worries...try to ignore them...and continue with your life with the same passion and the same perseverance.

 Words can build or destroy

In one of the abandoned corners of the subway, there was a boy with a scrawny body... absent-minded... selling pencils... and sharpening them.
A businessman passed by him. He put a dollar in his bag and then quickly boarded the metro. After a moment of thinking, he exited the metro again, walked towards the boy, took some pencils, and explained to the young man in an apologetic tone that he had forgotten to pick up the pencils he wanted.  Buy it.
He said: “You are a businessman like me and you have goods that you sell and their prices are very reasonable.” Then he boarded the next train. After years of this situation, on one of the social occasions, an elegant young man approached the businessman and introduced himself to him, saying: You probably don’t remember me, and I don’t even know your name.  But I will never forget you as long as I live.
You are the man who brought back my respect and appreciation for myself.  I thought I was a (beggar) selling pencils until you came and told me that I was a (businessman).
 A wise man once said:
Many people have come further than they thought they were capable of...
Because someone else told them they could,

Your words can build or destroy...so choose your words gently and carefully.”
